Welcome to Mahayatri. These Terms and Services ("Terms") govern your use of the Mahayatri mobile application and associated services (“App” or “Service”), owned and operated by Mahayatri (“we”, “us”, or “our”).

1. Acceptance of Terms

By downloading, installing, or using the Mahayatri App, you agree to be bound by these Terms and our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, please do not use the App.

2. Services Offered

Mahayatri is a rickshaw booking platform that connects passengers with auto rickshaw drivers in various cities across India. The app provides:

  • Booking auto rickshaws for immediate or scheduled travel

  • Estimated fare calculation

  • Live tracking of rides

  • Driver and passenger ratings and feedback system

3. User Eligibility

To use Mahayatri:

  • You must be at least 18 years old.

  • You must have a valid mobile number.

  • You must provide accurate information during signup.

4. User Responsibilities

You agree to:

  • Use the app for lawful purposes only.

  • Not misuse or abuse the app’s features.

  • Pay the driver the agreed fare as per app estimate or meter.

  • Treat drivers and staff with respect.

5. Driver Responsibilities

Drivers registered with Mahayatri agree to:

  • Maintain valid permits and licenses.

  • Accept ride requests promptly.

  • Ensure passenger safety and cleanliness of the vehicle.

  • Not overcharge beyond the app’s fare estimate or meter.

6. Booking and Cancellations

  • Mahayatri allows users to book rides on-demand or in advance.

  • Users may cancel a ride without charges before driver allocation.

  • Repeated cancellations or misuse may result in suspension.

7. Payments

  • Payments are made directly to the driver in cash, UPI, or other methods supported by the driver.

  • Mahayatri does not collect fare payments directly unless explicitly mentioned.

  • No hidden charges are levied by Mahayatri.

8. Limitation of Liability

Mahayatri is a technology platform and does not own or operate vehicles. We are not responsible for:

  • Driver behavior or delays

  • Accidents or damages during rides

  • Fare disputes between users and drivers

9. Account Suspension

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your account if you violate these Terms or engage in fraudulent or abusive behavior.

10. Data Privacy

We respect your privacy. Your data is stored securely and used only to improve services as detailed in our [Privacy Policy].

11. Changes to Terms

These Terms may be updated periodically. Continued use of the app after changes implies acceptance of the revised Terms. The latest version will always be available within the app or on our website.

12. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of India. Any disputes shall be subject to the jurisdiction of the courts in Nashik, Maharashtra.
